Write Local & Support Local Authors: Iredell County Local Author Fair
Readers from various genres have their favorite mainstream authors who either have introduced them to the genre or made them want to keep reading more. However, mainstream authors had to start somewhere, either being a local, indie author or posting their working on blogs or SubStack.
Iredell County Library is hosting an opportunity for readers--new or long time book lovers-- to meet authors and discover new books at the Write Local: Iredell Author Fair on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026. The event will take place at the Statesville branch library, located at 201 N. Tradd Street, from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.
The free author fair will feature a diverse lineup of local authors that span across multiple genres, including fiction, non-fiction, poetry and children's books. This event encourages book lovers to chat with authors, purchase books and hear directly from the creator themselves. Who knows, you could find your next favorite read.
