Rebekah Taylor started her coffee trailer when she was 18 years old. Two years later, she is still making coffee and sharing her love and passion for coffee.

Taylor started working in the food truck industry at 15 years old. She learned the ropes of working on past food trucks, leading her to open Becky’s Brews.

After working for Southern Dawn Coffee, she fell in love with the coffee that was being served at that location. After the shop closed and the owner moved to South Carolina, she was inspired to create her own coffee business.

“My sister had this trailer at her house,” shared Taylor. “I started looking around on Facebook Marketplace for stuff I could find. It all just fell into place. It really just started as a joke. I didn’t know what I wanted to do or if I wanted to go to college. So, I thought I’m just going to try and do coffee. If I fail in a couple of years, I fail. If not, then great! God’s been really faithful with it.”

“I love talking to people and that was a big thing. I wanted a job where I could just talk to people and make my own hours. I just love talking to everyone that comes and gets a coffee,” said Taylor.

Becky’s Brew sources her coffee from Black Powder Coffee, located in Mooresville. In addition, she creates speciality lattes that she switches up throughout the year for different seasons. “I love interesting combinations, like things that usually won’t go together or you don’t think of together,” she shared. “I just usually find a flavor that sounds good, taste it and try it with different things.”
